HOW TO MEASURE YOUR HAIR SYSTEM SIZE
Choosing the correct size is the most important step to ensure your hair system looks natural, feels comfortable, and fits perfectly.
What You Need
Prepare the following tools:
- Soft measuring tape (recommended)
- Mirror (or ask someone to assist)
- Comb
- Marker (optional for marking points)
Step 1: Identify Your Hairline
- Place 4 fingers above your eyebrows
- This is your natural front hairline position
- Mark this point lightly
π This step is crucial for achieving a natural look.
Step 2: Measure Front to Back
- Start from your marked hairline
- Follow the contour of your scalp over the crown
- End at the back of your hair loss area
π This determines the length of your base
Step 3: Measure Side to Side
- Measure across the widest part of your hair loss area
- Usually from temple to temple (above the ears)
- Keep the tape straight and parallel
π Always choose the widest measurement for better coverage
Step 4: Double Check Your Measurements
- Measure at least 2β3 times
- Record both inches and centimeters
- Choose the larger result for safety
π Better slightly larger than too small (can be trimmed later)
Step 5: Choose Your Size
Hair systems are measured as:
π Front-to-Back Γ Side-to-Side
Example:
- 8β Γ 6β
- 9β Γ 7β
- 10β Γ 8β
π If you are between sizes, always choose the larger size and trim for a perfect fit
Pro Tips from Royal Hair
- Use a soft tape, not metal ruler
- Do not pull the tape too tight
- Measure on clean, dry scalp
- Consider your hairstyle (long hair needs more coverage)
- Re-measure if your hair loss changes over time
